The end is here! It’s the final day of New York City Beer Week. After today, you might want to consider your own New York City Detox Week. But before that, enjoy these events today:
- The official NYC Beer Week Closing Party heads upstairs to the roof at Birreria at Eataly (200 Fifth Ave., at 23rd St., Flatiron). The event will showcase beers from local breweries paired with food selections from Eataly’s lunch menu starting at noon. It’s a pay-as-you-go event; there’s no fixed price, but reservations for a table are strongly suggested.
- Mugs Alehouse (125 Bedford Ave., at N. 11th St., Williamsburg) wraps up their weekend-long festival of big beers, Split Thy Skull XIV on Sunday. All day long, they’ll pour high gravity beers like Smuttynose Really Old Brown Dog, the 2011 North Coast Old Stock, and the 2011 Dogfish Head Olde School Barleywine. Admission is free, just pay by the glass… and pace yourself!
- Alewife (5-14 51st Ave., at 5th St., Long Island City) is clearing out their stock of Beer Week beers with $5 beers all day long starting at noon. Get beers from Allagash, Singlecut Beersmiths, The Brewery, Captain Lawrence, and more.
- Firestone Walker visits Blind Tiger Ale House (281 Bleecker St., at Jones St., Greenwich Village) today at 3pm. They’ll have the Sucaba, Velvet Merkin, Double Jack, and more beers from the California brewery. The Tiger will also offer a beer and cheese pairing flight.
- Draught 55 (245 E. 55th St., at 2nd Ave., Midtown East)
hosts a Sunday Beer Brunch today from noon-4pm. Enjoy brunch paired with beers from Brooklyn Brewery.
