
Baseball season begins this weekend, and it summons visions of sitting outside in the summer sun, watching a ballgame and sipping on beer. For years, craft beer fans suffered at the hands of corporate sponsorship and couldn’t drink anything more than mass-produced, flavorless beer. But in recent years, ballparks around the country have stepped up their beer game. Here in New York, most of that improvement has come at Citi Field, who has served craft beer since it opened in 2009. But even Yankee Stadium begrudgingly added craft beer last season after years of missteps.
