Last beer of the session: Olde Burnside’s Ten Penny Ale - a scotch ale that’s something a bit closer to the city.
The clear winner of the day at Vermont Brewers Festival has to be Lawson’s Finest Liquids. They’ve got a cask conditioned maple golden ale dry-tipped with spruce - a tribute to the late Greg Noonan of Vermont Pub & Brewery. This is the view from the front of their line. It has not been any shorter all day.
Why Vermont Brewers Festival is great: in many cases, the brewers pour the beer (and sometimes, they’re even labeled).
