Here’s our recommended beer-related events in New York after work tonight:
- Good Beer (422 E. 9th St., btw. 1st Ave. and Ave. A) hosts Cottrell Brewing out of Pawcatuck, Connecticut tonight from 6:30-9pm. Try their newest beer, Oktoberfest, plus their old standards, Old Yankee Ale and Mystic Bridge IPA. They’ll have discounts on pints and growlers, too!
- Head to DBGB Kitchen & Bar (299 Bowery, at 1st St., East Village) for another Pretty Things Good Time Beer Social tonight from 6-9pm. Owners Dann and Martha Paquette will be “fresh off the boat,” literally, as they disembark from the Queen Mary 2 this afternoon and head right down to DBGB. They’ll serve some classic Pretty Things beers and properly-paired tapas plates, too.
- Tonight at 7:30 at Jimmy’s No. 43 (43 E. 7th St., at 2nd Ave., East Village), it’s another ten buck tasting - this one focusing on “Oktoberfest-ish” beers. Yes, our good friend Mike Lovullo picked a slate of six German-style beers to serve tonight for $10, including Smuttynose Maibock, Schlenkerla Krausen, and Weissenohe Monk’s Fest.
