Clown Shoes coming to New York City

image

It’s about damn time! Massachusetts brewer Clown Shoes has made its first shipment to New York City and will officially launch during the week of October 17th.

We say it’s about damn time because we were afraid we were going to have to take it personally after Illinois and Texas were getting their beers and we weren’t. It’s all good now, and considering the B.S. they went through this summer, I’m sure what one lowly beer blog thinks about their distribution footprint was the least of Clown Shoes’ worries.

A GABF Debrief: 3 Days, 466 Breweries, 5280 Feet

image

We headed out west to Denver over the weekend for the 30th Annual Great American Beer Festival. It’s a celebration of hundreds of craft breweries in one gigantic room. 466 breweries, including some from our area, poured beer to over 49,000 attendees over four four-hour tasting sessions. The sheer number of options (2,379 beers, to be exact) was, as always, mind-blowing - and also ever-expanding. Since our first visit in 2006, the expansion of the festival has been representative of the craft beer industry as a whole.
