It’s Tuesday, January 24th. Here’s our list of recommended beer-related events in and around New York after work tonight:
- New beer spot One Mile House (10 Delancey St., at Bowery, Lower East Side) hosts a tap takeover from Brewery Ommegang tonight starting at 7pm. Enjoy the new Seduction, the Abbey Ale, the seasonal ale Adoration, Three Philosophers, and more, plus free giveaways and samples!
- The 2012 New York City release of Founders Imperial Stout takes place tonight at The Double Windsor (210 Prospect Park West, at 16th St., Windsor Terrace). Starting at 8pm, they’ll pour the big boozy stout, plus other imperial ales, like Founders Double Trouble, Harpoon Triticus Imperial Wheat, and Nøgne Ø Imperial Brown Ale… and all for just five bucks!
- This week’s Bierkraft (191 Fifth Ave., at President St., Park Slope) Tuesday tasting hosts Flying Dog, pouring brews like the new Kujo Imperial Coffee Stout, Raging Bitch Belgian IPA, and a 2007 vintage Horn Dog barleywine. The free tasting gets underway at 7pm.
- The weekly Ten Buck Tasting at Jimmy’s No. 43 (43 E. 7th St., at 2nd Ave., East Village) features beers from Shelton Brothers importers! You’ll get six tastings of some imported brews for $10, including Mahr’s Ungespundent, De Struise Grand Reserva, and Mikkeller Beer Hop Breakfast. The tasting gets underway tonight at 7:30pm.
- All night long, it’s California Beer Night at Rattle-N-Hum (14 E. 33rd St., at 5th Ave., Midtown), with beers from Ballast Point, Lagunitas, Firestone Walker, Sierra Nevada, and many more breweries from the Left Coast all on tap.
