It’s Thursday, August 16th. Here’s our list of recommended beer-related events in and around New York after work tonight:
- Burp Castle (41 E. 7th St., at 2nd Ave., East Village) hosts Clay Gordon from The Chocolate Life. From 7-9pm, grab a beer and sample some chocolates to pair with your beer!
- The Thursday Tap at Jimmy’s No. 43 (43 E. 7th St., at 2nd Ave., East Village) this week is the Professor Fritz Briem 1809 Berliner Weisse. Get there at 5pm and try this rare keg of this sour beer! Later tonight, Jimmy’s hosts a Vegetarian Sour Beer pairing dinner at 7pm. Advance ticket sales have ended, but call Jimmy’s at 212-982-3006 to reserve any remaining spots.
- Meanwhile, at Whole Foods Tribeca (270 Greenwich St., at Warren St., Tribeca), they’ll be pouring beers from Blue Point from 3-7pm. Get some samples and deals on their bottled beers and newly-canned brews like their White IPA.
- Over in Jersey City, it’s “Meet the Brewery” Night at The Iron Monkey (97 Greene St., at York St., Jersey City) starting at 6pm, featuring Boulder Beer this week. Brewmaster David Zuckerman will be on hand as they pour the Bourbon-Aged Mojo Risin, Kinda Blue, Planet Porter, and more!
