It’s Wednesday, September 19th. Here’s our list of recommended beer-related events in and around New York after work tonight:
- Blind Tiger Ale House (281 Bleecker St., at Jones St., Greenwich Village) hosts Sierra Nevada today starting at 3pm, with a great lineup of beers from the California brewers, including the Beer Camp Series, the 2010 Bigfoot Barleywine, a cask of the Best Bitter, and a whole lot of other surprises!
- It’s the attack of the clones at Washington Commons (434 Park Pl., at Washington Ave., Prospect Heights)! The folks at Bitter & Esters homebrew shop in Brooklyn will show off the fruits of their “Brew Like a Pro” Series, where they brew clones of popular American craft beers. Tonight at 7pm, buy the original beer, Lagunitas Hop Stoopid, and get a pour of the cloned beers for free!
- Oktoberfest arrives early at City Swiggers (320 E. 86th St., at 2nd Ave., Upper East Side) tonight starting at 6pm as they host Erdinger and serve their Pikantus, Urweisse, Weissebier, and more!
- Stone and Idle Hands Bar (25 Avenue B, at 2nd St., East Village) team up for the bar’s weekly $10 Bourbon and Beer Tasting Series. From 7-10pm, $10 gets you 2 full beers (IPA and the 16th Anniversary Ale), a 3-beer tasting flight, a taste of whisky, and an order of tater tots!
- George Keeley (485 Amsterdam Ave., at 83rd St., Upper West Side) continues their Oktoberfest celebration with Oktoberfest beers from Great Divide, Mission, Erdinger, Ayinger, and more, plus glass giveaways every night this week!
