It’s Tuesday, December 18th. Here’s our list of recommended beer-related events in and around New York after work tonight:
- Get a Rocky Mountain High tonight at The Pony Bar UES (1444 First Ave. at 75th St., Upper East Side) as they host a lineup of Colorado beers tonight at 6pm. They’ll have some rarities like the Oskar Blues Oak-Aged Ten Fidy, Left Hand Wake Up Dead Imperial Stout, Breckenridge Holidale, and much more!
- A big lineup of Sixpoint beers will be on tap for the annual holiday party tonight from 6-10pm at Mission Dolores (249 4th Ave., at Carroll St., Park Slope). This year, it’s also a relief effort to raise funds for the Red Hook Initiative, with food provided by Fort Defiance. Among the brews on tap: Apostle IPA from Union Pool, the Get Safe Saison from Roberta’s, Spice of Life Pacifica, Atlantic Antic Amber, and many more!
- Bierkraft (191 Fifth Ave., at President St., Park Slope) hosts a free Tuesday Tasting of beers from Contract Brewers tonight at 7pm. Get a lowdown on contract brewing with Bierkraft’s own Jim Krusas. Get there early for a seat!
- Be charitable and try the new Bronx Black Pale Ale tonight at One Mile House (10 Delancey St., at Bowery, Lower East Side), as the bar hosts a toy drive with Bronx and Toys for Tots. Bring a new, unwrapped toy from 7-10pm, and the folks from the brewery will buy you a beer!
- It’s Flying Dog Night at Good Beer (422 E. 9th St., btw. 1st Ave. and Ave. A) tonight starting at 6:30pm. Try some beers from their Single Hop Series, plus the Sour Cherry Berlinerweisse, all at nice prices for pints and growlers!
