It’s Thursday, January 3rd. Here’s our list of recommended beer-related events in and around New York after work tonight:
- Jimmy’s No. 43 (43 E. 7th St., at 2nd Ave., East Village) hosts the official launch of the new Bronx Black Pale Ale from Bronx Brewery tonight at 7pm. They’ll serve it on tap and in a cask along with their flagship Bronx Pale Ale. The staff of the brewery will be on hand to discuss the beer, too.
- Bierkraft (191 Fifth Ave., at President St., Park Slope) hosts the Brooklyn debut of Long Island’s Port Jeff Brewing out of Port Jefferson! They’ll be pouring 7 taps and two casks starting at 7pm, including the Low Tide Black IPA, Runaway Ferry Imperial Smoked IPA, Cold North Wind Barleywine, and more!
- Join Ballast Point for a free tasting tonight at Malt & Mold (221 East Broadway, at Clinton St., Lower East Side) from 5-8pm. Same some beers from the San Diego brewery, and enjoy some free cheese samples, too!
