You might remember back in January, when eight Long Island breweries collaborated on a beer to help put Long Island back on its feet after its coast was ravaged by Hurricane Sandy. The beer, an IPA brewed together with Blind Bat, Blue Point, Great South Bay, Greenport Harbor, Long Ireland, Port Jeff, Spider Bite, and Barrier, was brewed to raise funds for Long Island Cares and to support Barrier, whose brewery was destroyed in the storm. Four months later, the numbers are in, and the beer was a resounding success.
