Randolph Beer holds fundraiser for assaulted sous chef tonight

image

Some troubling news from Randolph Beer (343 Broome St., at Bowery, Little Italy) this week came to us courtesy of Bowery Boogie, who reports that their sous chef, Stephen Canon, was mugged and assaulted last month, then left with severe injuries under the Williamsburg Bridge. More than three weeks later, he’s still in the hospital, facing daunting medical bills for his recovery, and the bar is asking for your help.

The bar is holding a fundraiser tonight starting at 7:30pm. All proceeds - yes, 100% - will go directly to support his recovery. They’ll also be raffling off a slew of items, like beer, gift certificates, and more.

If you can’t make it tonight, they’ve set up a Fundly Page for you to donate.

We wish Stephen a speedy recovery.
