SAVOR WEEK starts now!

image

This Friday and Saturday, SAVOR comes to New York. The world-renown event features food pairings with craft beer from across the country, including many breweries that don’t distribute in New York State. But you don’t have to wait until Friday to reap the benefits of SAVOR being in town. Since the festival’s organizers require that brewery staff represent their booth at the event, a lot of brewers and brewery founders will be in town this week. Some will take advantage of their visit with tap takeovers, beer dinners, and assorted other good fun.

We’ve culled together some of the best events of the week here for your reading (and attending) pleasure.

The Beer Weekender: June 7-9

image

Can you believe it? SAVOR is just a week from today. But the reason we’ve been sort of quiet this week is because there’s more to SAVOR than just the event itself. Lots of beer dignitaries will be in town next week pouring their wares around town. A whole week of SAVOR-related events kicks off on Monday. The event site has a rundown of all of them. And they lead up to the big tasting on Friday and Saturday night. A few tickets are still available if you’re someone who waits until the last minute. Trust us… we know that not every beer event in New York is worthy of shoveling out $170. This one is.

Anyway, if you need to get your drinking muscles trained for next week, here’s our rundown of this weekend’s beer events.
