The Brooklyn Defender returns for New York Comic-Con

Brooklyn Brewery’s exclusive beer for New York Comic-Con returns this year, with a new look and a new style. This year, it’s a hoppy American Black Ale that the brewery claims will “strike fear into the heart of those who would forget the virtues of true beer.” Its accompanying dark superhero, designed by Cliff Chiang, is "willing to brave any bar to defend against his gallery of rogues the ‘Foam Jobs’.”

The beer will be released in a special event on Saturday, September 21st at Brooklyn Brewery (79 N. 11th St., at Wythe Ave., Williamsburg) from 8pm-Midnight. The release celebration will include an open bar, giveaways of tickets to Comic-Con, special guests, and more. Your only way in is to RSVP.

But if you can’t make it that night, there are several ways to get your hands on the beer - and an exclusive pint glass you can take home.
