Brooklyn Pour Nearly Sold Out, New Brewers Added

image

VIP tickets for the third annual Brooklyn Pour are officially sold out! That leaves only a few General Admission tickets to get your hands on… and the latest round of brewers added should be reason enough to snap them up before they’re gone. The Village Voice’s beer festival will again take place at Skylight One Hanson in Fort Greene on October 12th in one session from 3-6pm. It’ll feature dozens of breweries from around the corner, across the country, and around the world with three hours of unlimited tasting, a food court in the venue’s famed bank vault, and live entertainment. Best of all, it’s for a good cause - this year’s charitable partner for the fest will be BRIC.

Brew Dogs premieres tonight on Esquire Network

image

There have been a handful of TV shows about the craft beer industry, but there may be none as entertaining as Brew Dogs, which premieres tonight at 10pm on the new Esquire Network (Channel 118 on Time Warner, Channel 176 on Optimum, Channel 160 on Verizon FiOS, Channel 218 on RCN). The program stars James Watt and Martin Dickie from BrewDog, the Scottish brewery known for doing some pretty outrageous things with their beers. They travel the US in search of good beer cities, and partner up with a local brewer in each episode to brew a unique beer that attempts to capture the city’s climate and culture. We had the pleasure of screening the first episode a couple weeks back, and we can assure you, it’s pretty funny.
