Happy Hour: Home and Away
Here are the beer-related goings-on after work tonight in and around New York:
- Westchester County’s Captain Lawrence Brewing will host a tasting at DBGB Kitchen & Bar (299 Bowery, at 1st St., East Village) tonight from 5-7pm. For $25, join in at the bar with food pairings and beers like Pleasantville Smoked Porter with crepinette and tripel sausage and Golden Delicious served with a tart tatin with bacon.
- Long Island’s Southampton takes the taps tonight at Good Beer (422 E. 9th St., btw. 1st Ave. and Ave. A) with an event from 6:30-9:30pm. Get discounts on pints, flights, and growlers, including their Keller Pils and Cuvee des Fleurs.
- Tonight at 7:30 at Jimmy’s No. 43 (43 E. 7th St., at 2nd Ave., East Village), it’s another ten buck tasting - this one focusing on English, Scandinavian, and Belgian IPAs. $10 gets you six tastings of beers from Ridgeway, Mikkeller, La Chouffe, and more.
- Belgian Golden Strong Ales are the subject of this week’s free Tuesday Tasting at Bierkraft (191 Fifth Ave., at President St., Park Slope) tonight at 7pm. You’ll get to sample several different delicious Belgian-style brews from both Belgium and the States with Bierkraft’s own Carl Burger.
