Sixpoint to can a new fall seasonal beer

We called it: Sixpoint Craft Ales’ cans - err, “nano-kegs” - have been the feel-good hit of the summer. We’ve spotted the cans all across the city, sometimes flying off the shelves. Why cans? Well, they’re lighter to transport, 100% protected from light, keep beer fresher, and can go places that bottles can’t. That’s especially helpful during the summertime, where beaches and boats and parks are prime beer-drinking venues.

Well, come fall, Sixpoint has found another way to keep their cans from slipping into hibernation…

Meet Autumnation, their first seasonal canned beer. The new brew will be a wet-hopped pumpkin ale that clocks in at a comfortable 6.0% ABV. Sixpoint has experimented with pumpkin beers before, but this is a brand-new offering that’s never seen a can or a draft line before.

Sixpoint says to expect these cans on shelves by September, so keep an eye out for them as the weather finally cools down. We’ll let you know where to find these bad boys as soon as they’re available.
