It’s Get Real NY’s aPORKalypse Now Festival, Saturday afternoon and evening at The 404 Event Space (404 10th Ave., at 33rd St., Hell’s Kitchen). 10 chefs used ten organic local whole hogs to prepare 20 different pork dishes for the event, paired with brews from two dozen breweries, including Lagunitas, Dogfish Head, Captain Lawrence, and Stillwater Artisanal Ales. The event will run in two sessions: 1-4pm and 5-8pm. The bad news? It’s sold out!
- What to do if you can’t get pork? Join Brooklyn Vegan, Delta Spirit, and Brooklyn Brewery on a bar crawl with $3 Brooklyn beers! The crawl begins at 3pm at Manhattan Inn (632 Manhattan Ave., at Nassau Ave., Greenpoint), and then continues to two more stops as they celebrate the completion of The Delta Spirit’s new self-titled release. Full details are on the Facebook event page.
