Happy Hour: It means “Both West Coasts”

It’s Wednesday, February 1st. Here’s our list of recommended beer-related events in and around New York after work tonight:

  • Check out the explosive tap list from Cigar City at Blind Tiger Ale House (281 Bleecker St., at Jones St., West Village) all night long. Festivities start at 3pm. They’ll pour three aged versions of their collaboration with The Bruery, a high gravity ale with coriander, ginger and sweet orange peel called Dos Costas Oeste. Plus, they’ll be pouring the Cucumber Saison, Hotter Than Helles, Minaret ESB, and a whole lot more.
  • Founders takes over the taps at The Stag’s Head (252 E. 51st St., at 2nd Ave., Turtle Bay)tonight starting at 6pm, pouring Double Trouble, the Imperial Stout, Red’s Rye, and more… including a poor man’s version of their most elusive beers: Breakfast Stout poured through a randall of bourbon and maple syrup-soaked oak chips!
  • Coopers Craft & Kitchen (87 2nd Ave., at 5th St., East Village) hosts Brewery Ommegang tonight from 6-10pm, pouring Rare Vos, Three Philosophers, and more!
  • 21st Amendment pays a visit to Idle Hands Bar (25 Avenue B, at 2nd St., East Village) for their weekly $10 Bourbon and Beer Tasting Series. Celebrate canned beer! From 7-10pm, $10 gets you 2 full beers, a 3-beer tasting flight, a taste of whisky, and an order of tater tots!
