Two brief pieces of shameless self-promotion
We’re involved in two beer events this week, so let’s take some time to remind you about them.
Your dear editor will be hosting “The Joy of Winter Beers,” a tasting of six brown ales, porters, and stouts tomorrow night at 6:30 at 92YTribeca. We’ll serve some nicely-paired foods from the cafe as well. Tickets are $25 and available on the 92Y site.
Then, on Saturday, join editor Chris O’Leary and a bevy of other beer writers, breweries, and mixologists for the Beer Cocktail Brunch-Off at Jimmy’s No. 43 (43 E. 7th St., at 2nd Ave., East Village) on Saturday from 1-4pm. $35 gets you unlimited samples of Jimmy’s delicious brunch food, plus beer-based cocktails from nine different participants. Tickets are available through Brown Paper Tickets.
