Happy Hour: Thirsty Thursday
It’s Thursday, January 19th. Here’s our list of recommended beer-related events in and around New York after work tonight:
- Pennsylvania’s Sly Fox comes to Breukelen Bier Merchants (182 Grand St., at Driggs Ave., Williamsburg) tonight from 7-9pm, pouring Odyssee Double IPA, Dunkel Lager, Ichor Quad, and more… plus free samples!
- Bronx Ale House (216 W. 238th St., at Broadway, Kingsbridge) hosts Breckenridge Brewery tonight at 7pm, pouring Christmas Ale, Vanilla Porter, Avalanche amber ale, and more… plus they’ll have free giveaways!
- Bierkraft (191 Fifth Ave., at President St., Park Slope) breaks out the Belgian kegs tonight starting at 7pm, as they tap more than six different brews from that little European kingdom of beer, including Duvel Green, Chimay Cinq Cents, Alvinne Kerasus, and more.
- Barcade Jersey City (163 Newark Ave., at Erie St., Jersey City) hosts their Winter Beer Night starting at 4pm and running all night. Enjoy an impressive list of seasonal beers like Epic Brainless on Cherries, Great Lakes Christmas Ale, and the Sixpoint Mad Scientists #7 Cranberry Porter.
- Also in Jersey, it’s Dark Beer Night at the Copper Mine Pub (323 Ridge Rd., at Crystal St., North Arlington, NJ). Starting at 3pm, they’ll pour beers like Sixpoint Gorilla Warfare, Southern Tier Choklat, and New Jersey Beer Company Garden State Stout, plus many more rich and hearty brews.
- Jonas Bronck’s pours $5 pints of their Pelham Bay IPA tonight at The Blue Room (1140 2nd Ave., at 60th St., Upper East Side) from 6-9pm.
- Who said barbeque and Belgian beer don’t belong together? Southern Hospitality Hell’s Kitchen (645 9th Ave., at 45th St., Hell’s Kitchen) hosts a sampling of Ommegang Rare Vos and Duvel Single tonight from 6-9pm.
